MEET STAREHE BOYS AND MASENO UNIVERSITY ALUMNUS SINGER MBOKOTHO

Emmanuel Kiio was born in Machakos County .He grew up in various shifting environments. Journey of a this promising talent Mbokotho began when the Kenyan industry had already risen to intense competition .

Mbokotho attended Mwingo Primary school in Mombasa before going to Starehe Boys’ Center in Nairobi.

He later become a friendly face to the streets of Maseno University having gone to study BA/Media and Mass Communication .

His hard work and intrest for singing and song writing did begin in his primary school where he started with gospel lyrics despite lack of ability to produce

Mbokotho didn’t leave his passion behind despite strainous High School studies even though producing the songs was still a problem.He was a relentless soldier showing no signs of losing hope.

Mbokotho met the Kisumu’s celebrated entertainment group 411 society at Maseno University , members who included Lax, Cornrows and Flaqo.

He tried to work with them for a couple of months but at that point he actually didn’t understand the industry dynamics so there was the fear that what he was writing was not going be appealing to anyone.

Mbokotho would later meet Nadia Mukami , whom he says he interacted with and started to understand different avenues of approaching the music industry.

Three years later Mbokotho has turned out to be a great artiste and has embarked on producing music back to back.

He admits he has so much fear of what tomorrow had in store but that fear has since been washed away .

The singer has been able to work with together with Mavo On The Beat , of course with a couple of unreleased projects featuring some of the most celebrated gengetone artistes.
